Sony PlayStation 4 FREE-TO-PLAY Games List #14

Knights of Valour

I remember I played this game at the arcade center in shopping mall back in 90s'. Especially like the special attacks from Zhuge Liang. Right now, I do still see this game appear in some of the arcade center. It is really one of the classic games for gamers who like the story of Three Kingdoms.

Knights of Valour (simplified Chinese: 三国战纪; traditional Chinese: 三國戰紀; pinyin: Sān Guó Zhàn Jì) is a side-scrolling Beat 'em up action arcade game released by International Games System in 1999. The plot is loosely adapted from the Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms and features the Five Tiger Generals, Zhuge Liang, Diaochan and others as playable characters. The gameplay involves the use of magical powers that are not featured in other games also based on the novel. The game was released in Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) and English.

This game was released in China on September 15, 2015.

免費遊玩

Knights of Valour is rendered in 3D on PS4™, while the traditional raster graphics still persists at the same time in order to provide a multi-dimensional and bettered visual entertainment for players in favor of side-scrolling ARPG. Besides, Knights of Valour is free to play and downloadable on PlayStation®Network. The whole new version reminiscent of the tradition in the arcade will offer your more game contents and awesome challenges.

There are currently three types of skill attacks for you to choose from: Special Skill by pressing the corresponding button combination of each character, Ultimate Skill which is more powerful and diverse, and the Esoteric skill unique of each character.

There are 2 modes you can choose: Single Battle or Online Battle. For Online Battle mode, it enables 2 to 4 players to play together online.

Sony PlayStation 4 FREE-TO-PLAY Games List #13

Magic Duels: Origins

Magic Duels: Origins is a video game based on the popular collectible card game Magic: The Gathering, first published by Wizards of the Coast. The gameplay follows that of the card game, but includes a story mode that follows the origin story of five of the game's Planeswalkers.

This is the first game in Stainless' series to feature free-form deck construction and the ability to build a card library using both in-game rewards and microtransactions to purchase new cards and boosters. The game includes single player modes and online battles with other players.

This game was released on July 29, 2015 for PC and XBOX version. PS4 version release date TBD.

The Field of Battle

1. Deck/Library – A set of 60 cards filled with Spells and the Land needed to cast them.

2. Graveyard – The discard pile. Instant and sorcery spells go here when they resolve.

3. Hand –Each player starts with seven cards in-hand. The maximum hand size is seven cards.

4. Avatar/Life – Each player starts with 20 life. When you reduce your opponent to 0 life, you win.

5. Game Phase Indicator –Phases occur in this order: Beginning, Main, Combat, Main (again), Ending.

6. Battlefield – The shared zone between players where spells are cast.

7. Stop Timer – Certain spells can be cast at any time, even during your opponent’s turn.

3 Ways to Play

Solo Battle: Play against thousands of AI opponent decks! Available both online and offline, you can earn coins with every win as you test and battle with your favorite decks against opponents of varying difficulty. This mode offers virtually endless gameplay for new and experienced Magic players alike.

Versus Battle: Are you ready to take on the world? Take your latest decks into battle against a friend or a randomly matched opponent. Earn coins for every win against a matched opponent.

Two-Headed Giant: Pair up with a friend, the AI or a randomly paired teammate in this fan-favorite format. No matter which type of teammate you choose, you’ll then face off against another human/AI or AI/AI team. Additionally, PC and console players can also be randomly paired against human/human teams.

How to Play
In a game of Magic, you and your opponent are Planeswalkers, powerful mages each armed with a deck of Magic cards representing lands, creatures and spells. Each player summons creatures and casts spells, trying to knock the other down from 20 to 0 life and win the game.

MANA
Mana is the resource that fuels all of your spells in Magic. Each deck has land cards which generate mana. As the game goes on, you'll put more and more lands into play from your deck, giving you access to more mana to summon bigger creatures and cast more powerful spells!

CREATURES
Creature cards are an essential part of your deck. They represent the wide variety of beings you'll encounter in the worlds of Magic. From angels, demons and dragons to human soldiers, merfolk wizards and goblin shamans, creatures range in size, speed, and power. Your army of creatures attack and defend at your command, helping you defeat your opponents.

SPELLS
The rest of your deck is made up of powerful spell cards. There are many different types of spells that do a myriad of things, from blocking incoming attacks, to healing damage, to killing your opponent's creatures, and much more. There are also spells that summon powerful artifacts, conjure mystical enchantments that change the battlefield, and even spells that call upon other powerful Planeswalkers!

COMBAT
The most direct way to defeat your opponent is to attack with your creatures. Once you declare which creatures are attacking, your opponent can decide which of their creatures will block, or if they block at all. Combat ensues, with players casting spells that may change the outcome. When the dust settles, damage is dealt to players and creatures. Some creatures may survive to fight another day, and some may die and enter the graveyard. In the end, you are hopefully one step closer to victory.

STRATEGY
How will you block? How will you attack? Do you spend your mana summoning more creatures, or casting spells to destroy your opponent's creatures? Do you cast a spell early on that changes the tide of combat? Or do you wait to see what your opponent has up their sleeve? Magic'sstrategy comes from the endless decisions, traps and surprises that you plan for your opponents. What will you do?

Sony PlayStation 4 FREE-TO-PLAY Games List #12

For Gamers who do not like Japan "Kawaii (cute)" game, you may skip this post.

Dream Club or Dream C Club

The goal of the game is to achieve a happy ending with a hostess working at the club by repeatedly visiting her there and eventually winning her heart. Visiting the club costs money which is raised by doing part-time jobs which are performed by simply selecting one work option from among two to four, after which the result of your work is immediately displayed and money is collected. Money is spent on club entrance, drinks purchased there for both the player and a selected hostess, and on gifts for hostesses.

The majority of the game is spent at the club one-on-one with a hostess of your choice, trying to raise her level of affection for you by answering her questions in a favorable way, giving her desired presents, and scoring high on mini-games which include karaoke performances by the hostesses during which you time button presses along with the music, as commonly done in music games. Your performance over repeated visits determines whether you will achieve a happy ending with a particular hostess, or are left lonesome and unable to return to the club again due to expired membership or triggered a certain event that causes both of you to remain as friends only rather than lovers.

Dream C Club: Host Girls on Stage has players place pick the formation during a karaoke show. The center character is the team leader and lead vocalist. It’s a free to play game and players can purchase tickets for different girls to place or have drinks with them.

This game was released on February 22, 2014 in Japan.

Sony PlayStation 4 FREE-TO-PLAY Games List #11

"Dragon's Dogma"

Dragon's Dogma (Japanese: ドラゴンズドグマ Hepburn: Doragonzu Doguma?) is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Capcom. The game features an open world fantasy setting, in addition to hack and slash and survival horror gameplay elements.

The vocation, or class system, changes gameplay and tactical options available to the player, as with the Fighter having abilities focused on hack and slash combat (with a move-set similar to Capcom's Devil May Cry) and the Strider being skilled at climbing large enemies (like in Shadow of the Colossus).

One of the game's main innovations is the "pawn" system. While the player's party is exploring the world, the three party members who accompany the main character are controlled by artificial intelligence, but the player can issue orders to them, including "Go," "Help" and "Come." One of the party members is a non-playable character(NPC) and belongs to the main character's world, while the other two party members are NPCs borrowed from other players by connecting online or are locally generated by the game.

The party members, referred to as pawns, can talk, seek the main character's help, and provide information about enemies. The player must work on strengthening the main character and the party members. The pawns are vocal, yelling out useful hints and strategies, which are often vitally important to surviving tough boss encounters and dungeons. The pawn system also features social networking features.

There are 9 classes for you to choose to play:

There are total 15 characters you can choose:

Feel free to join the group to discuss and share the games info.

PlayStation 4 version only released in Japan on January 27, 2015. For other countries, you gotta wait for a while.

Sony PlayStation 4 FREE-TO-PLAY Games List #10

My friends suggest me, I could have dig out more information on each game and provide more details. Appreciate their feedback. Starting from today, I would reduce the games introduction from 3 games to 1, with compensation of more news on each FREE-TO-PLAY PlayStation 4 games! Do let me know what do you think, Gamers! :)

Game of Today:

"World of Tanks"

World of Tanks is a massively multiplayer online game developed by Belarusian-Cypriot company Wargaming, featuring early to mid-20th century era fighting vehicles. It is built upon a freemium business model where the game is free-to-play, but participants also have the option of paying a fee for use of "premium" features. The focus is on player vs. player gameplay with each player controlling an armored vehicle, which may be a light, medium or heavy tank, tank destroyer, or self-propelled gun. World of Tanks debuted as an eSports game at the World Cyber Games 2012.

There are 5 categories of tank for you to select during the gameplay:

Each different tanks has its own unique features, capabilities, functions and weakness. It really depends on players, what role they are going to play in the team fight. Players could also choose the Premium Tank, however there is of course some surcharge apply. So Gamers, do some homework and try out the tanks with different tactics. You will find the best tank that suit you the most. :)

There are total 7 nations, you could choose for the tank.

There are guides provided at their website, but I would recommend you to download the game and play the training and start few rounds of games, that would be faster than you go through the whole guides in my opinion.

This game will be released in 2016 for PlayStation 4 version. For Gamers who like to try it now, you may try the PC version for free. To apply the account, click here.
Here's the trailer!

Every week, World of Tanks will also release the best play of the week on Youtube.

Game #02:

I remember when I was small (sound like I am so old, wadever...) I did play pinball at the shopping mall arcade centre. I could not remember how much I had donated to that arcade centre. The only thing I could remember was someone broke the pinball machine, perhaps too excited or too angry? Ha!

The Pinball Arcade is a pinball video game developed by FarSight Studios. The game is a simulated collection of real pinball tables licensed by Gottlieb, Williams, Bally, and Stern Pinball. Additional tables have been and will be published as downloadable content (DLC) each and every month. All released tables are available for free limited demo play. In addition, every month, an ad-supported select table is available for unlimited free play until the next table add-on pack is released.

If you feel like purchase the game after trial, click here.

This game is released in Dec 2013.

Here's the video review from IGN.

Game #03:

I have found another free-to-play pinball game.

Zen Pinball 2 is a pinball video game developed by Zen Studios. Although Zen Pinball 2 is fundamentally a free download, users who already own Zen Pinball or Marvel Pinball for the PlayStation 3 are able to use all their downloadable content in the PS versions of Zen Pinball 2, which imports automatically.

There were 26 tables at launch (available separately as premium DLC) each of which are available as a free trial (though packs like Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue will still have to be bought as a whole). Users who purchase a pinball table on one Sony console are able to play it for free on the other.

This game is released on December 2013.
